We are so grateful for your kindness and willingness to support The Beacon. Every donation makes a meaningful difference in the lives of the women we serve!

Follow these steps to ensure your donations make the most impact:

1. Check our Socials

For the most current list of items we need, please check out our Facebook page. We update it regularly to make sure donations align with what our residents can use the most.

2. Read our Donation Guidelines

Read our general guidelines below for what we can and cannot accept as in-kind donations.

3. Schedule a Drop-Off

General (non-furniture) donations:

  • Accepted Monday through Sunday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
    No appointment is needed for donations smaller than a standard trunk load

Large donations (greater than one trunk full):

  • Must be scheduled in advance and approved.
  • You can email us at HouseManager@thebeacondm.org or Landlord@thebeacondm.org to set up a time.

Furniture donations:

  • Must be approved in writing and scheduled in advance with the Director of Operations and Properties, Landlord@thebeacondm.org.

General Donation Guidelines

What we Accept

Donations:

We accept donations at The Beacon any day of the week from 7am to 5pm at our 18th Street entrance. Thank you for thinking of the women we support and for helping us create a safe and welcoming home.

At this time we can only accept new clothing items for women age eighteen and older due to storage limitations. Your kindness helps us offer dignity and consistency to every woman who walks through our doors.

We also accept donations of shelf stable foods. Our freezer and refrigerator space is limited, so any food requiring cold storage must be scheduled directly with our House Manager at housemanager@thebeacondm.org

Furniture Donations
We accept furniture donations at The Beacon Village location. Scheduling is required so we can ensure items fit the space and meet resident needs. To coordinate a furniture donation please email landlord@thebeacondm.org
